It's Time again to link up to Farley's Currently @ Oh, Boy Fourth Grade
Listening to my daughter sing on her New Hello Kitty karaoke machine. It was a Christmas gift and she is loving singing along with the Fresh Beat Band. So totally cute and loud :)
Loving the cold weather, since I'm originally from MI and miss the cold winters. We have been getting a chance to wear sweaters, hats, and scarves.
Thinking some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate would be a great treat for my daughter and me in this weather.
Wanting a professional organizer to come and save me from my mess, messy, messy closet. But since that isn't going to happen anytime soon I need to get started myself.
OLW- Focus
Focus on my health, Focus on my family, Focus on the positive, Focus on God's word, and Focus on making each day count!
I think that sums it up, Don't forget go link up: )

A Starbucks gift card, to go buy her favorite drink.
Scentos holiday pack of markers, My kids love using them because they smell so good!
A bright colored scarf, because this is a must have for me this winter. Scarves add a little color to any boring outfit.
My favorite Christmas book, The Best Worst Christmas Pageant Ever. My 2nd grade teacher read it to us and I have loved it ever since.
I also sent a Bath and Body Works candle that smells so good!! I love to light them and make my room smell good.
A glass mug and top to take her drink of choice to go. I forgot to take a picture of the mug: (
So those are a few of My Favorite Things, I hope she loves them as much as me

Owls and Snowmen
My students completed owl artwork before we went for Thanksgiving break. Here are a few of the ones K, 1st, and 2nd grade completed. I found all of these ideas on blogs and pinned them to use.
Here is the "Fall Owls" project that 2nd grade completed. I got this project from the blog The Elementary Artroom.
This week we have been creating snowmen. I just LOVE snowmen!!!! We begin by reading Snowman at Night and talking about the shapes. Then we started creating our snowmen. Each grade had a different snowman to create and they loved it! The Kindergarteners created the a snowman that looks up. I found it on the blog ourartlately and I think they turned out pretty cute!
Here is the "Fall Owls" project that 2nd grade completed. I got this project from the blog The Elementary Artroom.
This is the version that my first graders completed that I call "Owls at Night".
The first graders created snowman head collages. I found this good idea on the blog, The Elementary Artroom and I had my first graders try it. Here are the fabulous results :
The 2nd graders have been creating collage winter landscapes. I will post pics of those next week.
These are a few of my lovely Pin inspired projects. Thanks a lot to the wonderful creators and I hope I did them justice.

First few weeks of Art
I am taking on a new adventure this school year. I am teaching art to grades K-5 at my school. It has been a great learning experience and lots of fun so far.
Here are a few projects we have created, thanks to great art teacher blogs and Pinterest!
This week 4th and 5th graders made this optical illusion project.
Last week 4th and 5th graders created artwork using various types of lines and patterns. I found this project on the blog Blue Moon Palette. I changed the directions a little by not requiring a ribbon and making sure the students used various listed types of lines.
My K and 1st graders worked on lines also. I made a line worksheet for the students to practice their lines. (Got the idea from a blog, but can't remember which one) Below is a picture of a student completing their worksheet.
So these are a few of the projects so far, more to come....
